Forks of pbrt

luxrender is the first fork of pbrt, now that it has been open sourced under the GPL. The goals of luxrender are physical correctness, a strong community of users and developers, and good support for exporting from apps like blender.
A modified version of pbrt 1.02 with support for bidirectional pathtracing has been posted by MLJack.
Werner Randelshofer has reimplemented a subset of pbrt in Java.

Exporters and converters to the pbrt scene file format

Maya to pbrt exporter: Mark Colbert has written a Maya plugin that exports Maya scenes to pbrt and renders them inside Maya. (See his screenshots page.)
